Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the permitted and prohibited uses of Geofiber Broadband & Internet Services. This policy is designed to protect our network, our customers, and the broader internet community. All customers and users of Geofiber services must comply with this AUP.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use Geofiber services to:
- Engage in any activity that is illegal under federal, state, or local law.
- Transmit, distribute, or store material that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights.
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam), phishing messages, or other forms of unwanted communications.
- Distribute malware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or any other malicious software.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any network, system, account, or data.
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks or other activities that disrupt network services.
- Engage in activities that threaten, harass, defame, or harm others.
- Resell or redistribute Geofiber services without written authorization.
3. Network Management
To ensure a quality experience for all customers, Geofiber reserves the right to manage network traffic using reasonable network management practices. These may include rate limiting during periods of congestion and blocking traffic identified as malicious. Such practices are applied in a content-neutral manner consistent with our Open Internet Policy.
4. Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your network and devices. This includes keeping software up to date, using strong passwords, and taking reasonable steps to prevent your devices from being used in malicious activity. If we detect that your equipment is compromised, we may temporarily suspend your service and notify you so the issue can be resolved.
5. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in actions including but not limited to:
- A warning or request to cease the prohibited activity.
- Temporary suspension of service.
- Permanent termination of service.
- Reporting to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities.
We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect our network or comply with law.

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it to info@geofiber.net.
